Mental, Emotional & Psychological Health
There are many individuals who suffer from or are recovering from mental health, emotional and substance related conditions, disorders and illness. Some of these individuals may have sought or be actively engaged in some form of mental health treatment (medication, therapy) while others may have avoided seeking treatment due to various reasons such as time, money, lack of insurance, fear of stigmas, and cultural beliefs. Regardless of where you are or have been, Meliorem Health is here to help.

Consider this...physician's, by in large, spend less than 10 minutes with their patients. Thus, they generally have limited or no time to discuss the whats and hows of going back to your life in which you have been suffering. The medications, many times, are meant to provide a degree of relief from symptoms, but in general, do not provide you with the tools and guidance to manage the symptoms and even more important, what to do when it comes to going back to your life, work, school, relationships or family. Counselors and therapists generally focus on looking back into client lives to understand the condition. Again, most individuals lacking the understanding and tools to obtain balanced and healthy mental and emotional well-being.

Our practice is not engaged in diagnosing mental health conditions. We do not prescribe medications and or engage counseling sessions. We help individuals suffering or recovering from mental health conditions transition to and achieve healthy and balanced mental and emotional health.
The Meliorem approach focuses on client management of symptoms, acquiring the appropriate skills in which to manage the symptoms, and applying the skills and management into the client's work, school, relationships, family, and life.  In other words, after you leave your doctor's office with your medication or therapist's office after discussing the elements surrounding your condition...we help individuals translate the medications and therapy into their lives.  This process is a two-way relationship and requires working together to meet the needs of the client.
Mental Health Care Planning. At Meliorem, we recognize that the effects of mental illness include not only the individual, but their family and loved ones. Our goal is to support and assist those family members with learning ways to best help the individual through their mental health journey and recovery.
